Daffodil Rising

I’ve a new image to show today. This is a macro photograph of the inner cone of a daffodil. I named it ‘Daffodil Rising’ because it looks like it is rising into the air, its skirt billowing in the wind. Many people have told me it reminds them of an Angel.

I have entered it in several juried shows, and I am proud to say it has almost always been accepted, most recently at PhotoMidwest, a large regional photo exhibit in Milwaukee, WI. which is held every two years. Over 400 photos were submitted, and only 49 accepted for viewing. The juror, nationally known art photographer Larry Fink, who has been included in shows at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Art,  and been awarded many grants, fellowships, and awards, described it as a ‘Sensual Masterpiece’ in his public talk about the show. Quite an endorsement! I hope you enjoy it.
